Playwriting

Theater has always been one of my passions, and I've written several scripts for musicals based on my children's fiction as well as original works for hire:

Peace, Love and Cupcakes: The Musical was first adapted for Off-Broadway by Vital Theatre NYC, then later mounted at The New York Musical Festival in 2017 as a junior version to be produced in schools/local theaters. It received a special award citation for "turning a musical into a movement" for its anti-bullying educational platform. It is currently available for licensing with Broadway Licensing.

The book series is also currently being adapted as a non-musical TV/Film project (treatment/script available upon request).

Based on the music of “Kindie Rock” composer/recording artist Mr. Ray, with original book by Sheryl Berk, Outta This World is the story of a visitor to Earth from another planet who teaches kids the power of kindness and acceptance. This delightful story explores themes of anti-bullying, prejudice, friendship, and Social Emotional Learning.
